Friday Night: The Mystery of Honeybees; Compass point, enigma and soul plasma.
Friday, May 19, from 6:30 to 8 pm.
(childcare NOT available for this lecture)

During this evening gathering, we will enter the multidimensional landscape of honeybees and explore their complex web of relations and ecology of selves.  Among the fundamental characteristics of honeybees, also known as ‘onebeing’, inwardness is one of 'her' most essential attributes.  Imbued with soulfulness and wisdom, this inwardness is an interface for communication and a medium to reconnect with the sacred in all life forms. It holds the key to a comprehensive understanding of the ‘onebeing’ and is a seed for awareness and contemplation.  What can follow is a personal and ingenious impulse to create a ceremonial field, in which apiculture becomes a transformative practice, unveiling the phenomenon of the onebeing as a spiritual gate.

This day will explore the essential role of bees that bees play in sustaining life on our planet.  Learn about Michael Thiele's advocacy efforts to shift apiculture to develop a bee-centric approach.

His work focuses on three areas:
1) Installation and care of “landscape apiaries”
2) Research and development of sustainable apiculture strategies
3) Educational/training programs that examine how the bio-integrity of honeybee nests can inform and heal apiaries and landscapes, and how the wisdom of honeybees can be an inspiration for the evolution of new paradigms of life.
