Special Education Director
Pine Forest School is a K-8 charter school with an enrollment of 250 students. We are seeking a Special Education Director with appropriate certifications in the state of Arizona.
The capacity to maintain full compliance with state and federal regulations in all aspects of IDEA, Section 504 and ADA is vital to the position. Leadership ability to fully implement and coordinate the IEP process is critical to the position. The candidate must be able to manage multiple students, IEPS, parents and staff. Supervise paraprofessionals and itinerant service providers is within the scope of the job. Experience in the classroom/group setting with special education students is a qualifying factor. Skills with SIS (student information system), IEP Pro and google applications for education are necessary. Knowledge of Waldorf education is ideal but not required.

6th Grade Class Teacher
Pine Forest School in Flagstaff, Arizona seeks a 6th grade teacher. The middle school teachers collaborate in team meetings supporting students and colleagues through the developmental stage of adolescence.
Our K-8 charter school, guided by the Core Principles of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education, offers a comprehensive academic curriculum along with special subject classes in Handwork/Woodwork, Spanish, Music, Orchestra, Band, and Games/Movement. Our school serves a diverse community of children in a small city, urban setting. We work with local groups in creating vibrant school grounds.
Flagstaff has an active arts community, many great outdoor festivals and a wonderful four- seasons outdoor recreation environment. You will find everything a small city has to offer including easy access to the beautiful Grand Canyon.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and knowledge and/or experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students implementing the creative educational philosophy developed by Dr. Rudolf Steiner known in the U.S as Waldorf education. An AZ teacher certification or Waldorf teacher certification are desired but not a requirement. Salary schedule for Waldorf Certified teachers with a bachelor’s begins at $50,000 with additional steps for experience.
