Alex Carpenter, President

Alex has been deeply connected to our school community for over a decade, first as a parent of two children who attended kindergarten through eighth grade. He is now in his sixth year of serving on the school board. Watching his children thrive in our public Waldorf environment gave him firsthand appreciation for the transformative power of our educational approach.

Alex’s commitment to the school extends beyond board service—he has worked raising funds for various projects vital to our school.  One of the major projects he is proud to have worked on was sending many of our teachers to various schools to become Waldorf certified.  The project, conceived by our Executive Director with the invaluable support of our Director of Education, has significantly enhanced our school’s pedagogical approach to education.  Alex is grateful to be a part of this community, being a strong advocate for the students and staff.

With a background in commercial photography, Alex brings a creative perspective to board discussions and decision-making. Alex is passionate about connecting young people with the outdoors through mountain biking. He has coached mountain biking for ten years, including founding the Pegasus Pedalers program here at Pine Forest.

Whether on the trails, behind a camera, or in a board meeting, Alex is driven by a desire to support environments where children can develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
